To: Taskforce Team Thanks you for your report on the stereochemistry problem. We seem to have this now under control. The recipe for our new drink includes a food-coloring agent. The product development team has advised that the chosen molecule might not be stable over time. The marketing department has indicated that a change in color of the drink over time would have very negative consequences on the sales numbers. I need you help. Please advise on the following: I What makes the colour of a solution? How can one characterise the colour of a solution? How can you determine, how long it takes for the colour of the drink to fade? Suggest a possible quality control procedure, to ensure optimum quality for our drink. Thank you
