A 120° reducing bend is placed in a horizontal plare such that the inlet is inclined 30° to the horizontal. The diameter at inlet is 200 mm and that at exit is 100 mm. The flow rate of water through the bend is 2000 Ipm and the flow is frictionless. For a pressure head of 200 mm of Hg (gauge) at inlet, find the net force on the bend in magnitude ad direction.
