Determine the dimensions of rectangular cross-section for the
given 2D frame using classical methods.
a. Compute reactions for the given (2D) frame (verification also
should be done).
b. Compute axial forces N, shear forces Q, bending moments M and
draw their diagrams
c. Calculate dimensions of rectangular cross-section (W = ?) if
allowable stresses is 160 MPa;
d. In SolidWorks Simulation create the FE model of Beam elements.
Use structural steel S235 material. Compare the internal forces
diagrams. Using the rectangular cross-section with analytically
calculated dimensions, determine the Safety factor of the
structure.
