K(s) (s +2+GN) (s +GN)(s’ +4) Your tasks for this project are to: 1. Design a controller for each of the following methods (if possible) or state that such a controller is not possible: (a) P (K(s)=Kp) (b) PD (K(s) = K (1+Tas), Ta can be assumed as -0.2) (c) PI (K(s) = K (1+1/T;s), Tcan be assumed to be 1) (d) PID (K(s) = K (1 + 1/Ts + Tus), assume Ta is-0.13, and T, is -0.5) 2. For each method, discuss how variations in design parameters would affect the performance of the system in terms of the design criteria. For each case, state reasons why your selected design may be superior to other possible designs which would also meet the design criteria, 3. Plot a unit-step response of the resulting closed loop system corresponding to your design using each method. Discuss how these responses compare with your expectations based on (transient and steady state) design specifications and controller configuration. Specifically mention expected percent overshoot, settling time, stability, and steady state error.
