(a) Determine the pitch factor and distribution factor of the machine. (4 marks) (b) If the fundamental phase emf is 7613 V, what is the flux per pole? (6 marks) (c) If the flux density wave in the air gap consists of the fundamental and a 20% third harmonic, calculate the percentage increase in the r.m.s. value of the phase emf due to this harmonic.
