A water tank of diameter (𝐷) is being drained through a smooth
nozzle of diameter (𝑑). The velocity of water leaving the nozzle
can be calculated by 𝑉 = √2𝑔𝐻 where (𝐻) is the depth of water
in the tank.
A) Given the values of 𝑑 [cm] and 𝐻 [cm],
calculate the mass flow rate out of the tank (𝑚̇) in
[kg/s]. Givens: d = 3.629 H = 410.875

B) Given the values of 𝑚̇ [kg/s] and 𝐷
[cm], calculate the rate at which the water depth in the tank drops
(𝑑ℎ/𝑑𝑡) in [mm/s].
Givens: m_o = 11.289 D = 93.175
