3. Economists tend to regard the corporate income tax as an inefficient and even unfair tax. Many corporations that are profitable - Amazon for example - pay taxes at a much lower level than the statutory rate and some pay no taxes at all. How do corporate taxes work; who actually pays them; and how could the system be changed to be more transparent?
