Inpatient admission: The patient fractured her left patella when
she suffered a fall into a hole while golfing on the public golf
course. She was taken to surgery, where an open reduction internal
fixation where performed without complication. By the second
postoperative day, she was ambulatory on crutches and ready for
discharge.
Discharge diagnosis: Closed fractures, left patella.
