You are on your first co-op assignment and you have been asked to design a simple system to move boxes of parts up a ramped surface. The system you came up with is shown in the figure below. Your system uses weights attached to a cable that passes over a fixed drum and attaches to the box. The box together with the parts has a mass, me of 100 kg. The static coefficient of friction between the box and ramp surface is 0.3, and the ramp is at angle, a, of 15 degrees. The static coefficient of friction between the cable and the drum is 0.35.
