For the design shown, it is proposed to use hydrodynamic film
lubrication bearings at points O and A. All surfaces are machined
except the journals, which are ground and polished. Material is
1020 cold drawn steel. The radii of the shoulders of the bearings
0.030 in., the others 1/16 in. Square profile sled keyway is 3 1/2
in. long. It is design satisfactory?
