TC Tc 2. One material flows down through thin-walled tubes in a condenser. The wall material wall temperature on the tube-wall surfaces is maintained constant (Tc). We know that both the inlet and outlet are open to the atmosphere and the length of the tube is L and the width is w. The water enters at TO and exists at T1. The material has a thermal conductivity that varies linearly with temperature according to k = ko + b*T, ko and b being constants. Determine velocity profile and temperature profile by assuming that the problem is steady-state and solve the following problems: (A). The velocity profile of the fluid. Step 1. Write the simplified conservation of momentum equation with all important terms. Step 2. Write all applicable boundary conditions. Step 3. Solve for the velocity profile of the fluid. (B). The temperature profile of the fluid. Step 1. Write the simplified conservation equation that best fits this situation. Step 2. Write appropriate boundary conditions. N
