The signal x (t) is bandlimited to (-50Hz, 50Hz). A rough sketch of its spectrum is shown. The signal y(t) is given by y(t) = x(t)cos(100πt). X (f) 10 -50 a) Provide a rough sketch of the spectrum Y(f). b) If we were to sample y(t), find the minimum sampling rate, fs, that it is possible to perfectly recover y(t) from its samples, y[k] = y(kTs), where fs = 1/Ts 50 c) If we choose to sample at a rate of fs = 400Hz, provide the specifications for a practical (non-ideal) lowpass filter that can be used to recover the signal from its samples. In particular, specify the passband, the transition band, and the stopband for your lowpass filter. Passband = range of frequencies where |H(f)| must have very low attenuation, Stopband = range of frequencies where |H(f)| must have very high attenuation, Transition band = range of frequencies in between passband and stop band where the value of H(f)| doesn't matter.
