A four-pole star-connected machine has the following specifications: Pr(rated) = 100 kW and Trirated) = 150 Nm. Use the following parameters for the machine: Rs = 8.8 m2, Lis= 47 µH, Lm = 2.1 mH, L¹= 40 µH, R = 3.4 m2, T = 2 Nm. The above machine is regenerating -100 kW on the rotor at the rated speed with a slip of -1.4 % Determine (i) The electrical frequency; (ii) the reflected rotor current; the stator back emf; (iii) the magnetizing current; the input phase current. (v)
The same machine used in Question 3 is stalled and outputting rated rotor at a slip frequency of 1.51 Hz. Determine (i) The electrical frequency; (ii) the reflected rotor current; the stator back emf; the magnetizing current; the input phase current. (v)
