five of them where included in this dataset. The five areas
selected were specifically chosen but they could have been selected
at random or they could have been selected using another type of
sampling.
a) What type of sampling method would you use to select a sample
of around 2000 students studying M140 during the period 2013 to
2019 to determine if there were changing patterns in the
percentages studying for the Maths degree and the Maths and Stats
degree? Justify your choice.
b) What would be your biggest concern about a source of bias?
