If the specifications call for the soil to be compacted to a moisture unit weight of 18.1 kN/m³ with moisture content of 14%, a) how many cub meters of soil from the excavation site are needed to produce 2000 m³ of compacted fill? b) calculate the void ratio (e) and degree of saturation (S) of the compacted soil/fill (Gs = 2.65).
