Design a square tied concrete column to support an axial dead load of 180 k and an axial live load of 250 k. Begin using approximately 3 percent longitudinal steel, a concrete strength of 4,000 psi and Grade 60 steel. Use 6 bars for longitudinal bars. For ties, assume #4 bars. Chart for bar size and area of that bar is given at the end (15 Points).
