Referring to Appendix " A 3" of your text and beam figure 7th from the top and 2ed from the bottom, a Fixed-Fixwd ended beam with Concentrated load "P" at midspan.
i) P=Pu=97.33 kips and L-18 ft. Using Fy=50 ksi steel , design a W18 section and specify its unbraced length Lp.
Hint: you may use the the appropriate table from your text Appendix.
ii) Draw a figure of the beam and specify the placement of the horizonlal braces using an "X" on the compression flanges.
