You are a human resource director for the Sean MacDonald Veterinary Hospital in Winnipeg. Historically, salaries provided by the cheap owner have been near minimum wage. The morale is low and attrition is high. Retention of employees has been a problem. Overall evaluation of job performance has not occurred. You are asked to develop a total compensation package, which would enable veterinary assistants, receptionists, and facility cleaners to stay with the company. Using materials considered throughout the course, discuss what strategies you would and would not use to address this situation and any other problems in the company.
