Learning Outcomes assessed: 1. Describe, evaluate and synthesise different perspectives relating to the nature, purpose and impact of entrepreneurial activity on society and on the economy at local, national and international levels 2. Evaluate the role and motivation of key agencies in the external environment. 3. Critically evaluate perceived ranges of competences, traits and behaviours adopted by entrepreneurs. 4. Critically evaluate and practice different approaches to creativity and innovation. 5. Critically evaluate the factors relating to the design and development of entrepreneurial organisations. 6. Develop and implement risk assessment processes for potential entrepreneurial actions. Evaluate competing risks and identify and implement appropriate risk limitation procedures. 7. Recognise, analyse and respond to the complexity of legal and ethical issues relating to entrepreneurial actions. Assignment Task: You are required to write an essay that addresses the following question. Note that we are expecting to see one coherent discussion rather than two separate answers. Which do you think has had a bigger impact in the twenty-first century: start-ups or established firms? Why is this? Reflecting on your answer, the module material, your GET test results and any other relevant insight, discuss your career aspirations - what type of company do you want to work for? Do you see yourself starting your own company, working for a start-up or joining an established firm? What type of company are you interested in? Examples include (but are not limited to): social enterprise, for profit, not for profit, high growth.
