Which column (All with E-2,000 ksi and crushing stress, fe, -4,000 psi) has a larger axial load carrying capacity using P. = (EI)/(KL) or fer= (nE)/(KL/r) with K=1.0 (Must prove with calculations to receive full credit. 1. 6" x 6" column 15 feet long unbraced (for 1.825 ksi- this is the buckling stress) 2. 6" x 4" column 15 feet long braced at mid-span in the strong direction and third points in the weak direction 3. 4" x 4" column 15 feet long braced at fifth points in both directions (P-324 kips this is the buckling load) REREAD the problem as I am giving you some of the answers to help solve this one.
