A patient was admitted to the hospital because of severe hypertension. The patient's acute condition was treated, and the physician decided to start the patient on an IV regimen of a new antihypertensive drug, FAE01, that has a therapeutic range of 15-45 mg/L and is completely eliminated by the kidney. Note: After a single IV bolus dose of 450 mg of FAE01 to this patient, a plot of plasma concentration-time profile was linear on a semi-log graph paper. The y intercept of the plot was 30 mg/L and the slope of the line was -0.05 hr-1.
f. What is your recommended dosing regimen to keep FAE01's plasma level within its therapeutic range, taking into consideration the patient's new conditions?
