Introduction Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline which deals with the design, construction and maintenance of the built environment infrastructure. Civil engineers are responsible for the construction of large structures, such as bridges, roads, canals and dams. Civil engineering creates the environment we live in and a world without it would be unimaginable.
