A reinforced concrete beam has a width of 300 mm and a total depth of 600 mm. The beam will be design to carry an ultimate factored moment and shear of 540 kn.m and 150 kn respectively. Concrete strength fc’= 28 Mpa and steel yield strength fy = 415 Mpa and 248 Mpa for transverse steel. Determine the following:
1. Required steel of main reinforcement.
2. Spacing of 10mm Ø stirrups.
3.0 Draw the section showing NSCP specification requirements.
A reinforced concrete beam has a width of 300 mm and a total depth of 600 mm. The beam will be design to carry an ultimate factored moment and shear of 540 kn.m and 150 kn respectively. Concrete strength fc'= 28 Mpa and steel yield strength fy = 415 Mpa and 248 Mpa for transverse steel. Determine the following: 1.0 Required steel of main reinforcement. 2.0 Spacing of 10mm Ø stirrups. 3.0 Draw the section showing NSCP specification requirements.
