A cannon of mass M=6000kg moves (without friction) on an
horizontal track and is connected to a spring (initially at rest)
with elastic constant k=3.00x10^4 N/m (as in the picture).
The cannon shoots a bullet of mass m=250kg with direction pi/4.
After the shooting, the maximum elongation of the spring is x=2
meters.
1. Consider the bidimensional system cannon-bullet. The quantity
of motion p is a vector with 2 components. Are the components
conserved or not during the shooting and why.
2. Find the initial velocity of the recoil of the cannon and the
velocity of the bullet leaving the cannon.
