You discovered a coding error that will change the MS-DRG assignment in the example above. 12 of the cases coded to 197 (Interstitial Lung Disease w/CC) should have been coded to 198 (Interstitial Lung Disease w/o CC/MCC). The CFO has asked you to determine the impact on reimbursement. You will need to recreate the table in WORD or Excel and then complete the boxes including calculating the variance.
