Consider a galvanic cell consisting of:
Write the reaction occurring at the anode:
Use spaces only before and after a plus sign. For example, the
reaction: Fe2++2e−→FeFe2++2e-→Fe would be entered as:
Fe^2+ + 2e^- →→ Fe
→→
Write the reaction occurring at
the cathode:
→→
Write the reaction for the galvanic cell:
l lI l
Calculate the E0cell for the cell.
"Reduction potential of Cu is more than reduction potential of
Zn. Hence, Cu has more tendency to undergo as compared to Zn.
Hence, Cu acts as a cathode & Zn acts as a anode." someone
mentioned this under this problem and I don't know how to identify
the anode or cathode equation! Could you how to do this problem and
why in depth please, this makes no sense!
