Question #7: A spaceship lands on the surface of the planet Mercury. After the ship gains an elevation of 25.4km, it releases it's booster rocket from the back. The booster rocket begins to free-fall. Ignoring the effect of any air resistance, what would be the acceleration of the booster rocket, the instant after it is released from the ship? Mercury Question #8: A 48000kg satellite is set up to orbit mercury in a circular orbit at an altitude of 30km above the planet's surface. a) How many hours will it take the satellite to orbit the planet once? b) If the satellite encounters some small collisions with space debris, and causes it to slow down a little, how would this affect the satellite's orbit?
