One end of a long taut string is moved up and down in SHM with amplitude of 0.20 m and a frequency of 20 Hz. At time t=0 the end of the string (at x = 0) has its maximum downward displacement. The resultant wave travels down the string in the negative x-direction with a velocity of 100 m/s. Obtain an equation describing the wave.
