a) A piston is located in a cylinder containing water as shown in Figure Q1(b). An open U- tube manometer is connected to the cylinder. For the given equilibrium condition, the manometer reading are, h = 48 mm and h = 64 mm respectively. If force on the piston is 150 N, determine the diameter of the piston to ensure that the condition is in equalibrium. The weight of the piston is negligible.
