The material properties of the plate is given E = 30x10° psi v=0.3 Sult = 82 ksi Kc = 110 ksivin Sy = 47 ksi If the plate is subjected to a fatigue loading with max = 40 ksi and R = 0.5. The plate has a crack growth law as da = 16 x 10-12(AK)4 where AK is in term of ksid in dN Determine: i) the crack growth life of the plate ii) the residual strength of the plate after being subjected to a 4x10° fatigue life.
