a) Measured time. b) Screenshots showing the measured time. c) Screenshots from your Simulink model. d) Waveforms from simulations. e) Comments and discussion, if needed.
Part 1 In this part, you will simulate the phase-controlled DC motor. A) In Simulink, using the builtin model for the DC motor, build a system the following system: A cos reference Figure 1: DC motor drive 1. AC source: 230V, 60Hz (Ideal with no internal impedance) 2. Phase-controlled rectifier: SCR, 3-phase, full-wave 3. DC Motor: Separately excited, 240V, 10.7A, 1480rpm, R=42, L=72mH, J=0.0607kg.m, B=0.0879 Nm/rad/sec, Lah = 0.4H, K=1.27 V/rad/sec, V=300V, R=95.562, L=9.87. 4. Control: cos' block and a reference (the reference should be between-1V and 1V, i.e. the control voltage ve need to be normalized as discussed in class), the maximum control voltage is +10V. 5. Assume the control voltage is is 5V and the load torque is rated. B) From the simulation find the following: 1. VDC 2. Peak starting current, peak electromagnetic torque, peak speed 3. Maximum speed overshoot 4. The ripple in torque and current. 5. THD in Voc 6. Using a scope in Simulink, show the armature voltage, armature current, torque, and speed.
