Conduct an undrained analysis. Use the center of gravity (CG) of the area enclosed by the circular failure surface shown in the figure. The reinforcement intersects the circular failure surface at coordinate (10.6,5). The soil and geotextile information is shown in the figure. The geotextile reinforcement used is 10 feet long. Calculate the factor of safety against failure on the failure surface shown above, with and without the geosynthetic. If any assumptions are made, be sure to clearly state them and justify them.
