To stay healthy a person aims to consume a
balanced diet (hypothetical). The body weight of the person
is 70 kg. He/she planned to follow WHO recommendations
(2200 kcal/day). Daily meals consist of bread, fruits and
vegetables, fish, meat and cheese 30%, 15%, 20%, 30%,
and 5%, respectively. However, the person did not consume
bread, F&V, fish, meat and cheese 10%, 10%, 2%, 3% and
1%, respectively which is assumed to be wasted. Calculate
the embodied carbon footprint of wasted food/day. Make
necessary assumptions if required.
