Q3 In the chemical process industry, there are various routes for manufacturing chemicals. A search of the literature reveals many different processes to produce chemical R*. Assume 8000 operational hours per year. Land cost is not included in the total capital investment. Prepare a detailed production report and answer the following questions. (Assume suitable data wherever necessary. Give proper references if data collection is from external sources. (* Each student will be given a separate chemical product) a) Select the various available processes used in the industry and discuss the major differences between each process.
