3. (a) A compound CH.0 (A) gave CH 02() and a silver mirror with Tollen's reagent. Treatment of A with PhenylMagnesium Chloride then H (acid) gave C H20 (C). When C was allowed to react with Thionyl Chloride (SOC12) C6H3CI (D) was formed. With the aid of equations and reasoning give structures for compounds A to D. [3 x 4 = 12 Marks] (6) The refluxing of a bromobutane and 2-bromo 2-methyl butane respectively with KOH/ethanol in two (2) separate reactions yielded four (4) different major products. Draw the structures as well as give the IUPAC names of all four major products formed, [ 2x4 -8 Marks]
