Benzaldehyde is an aromatic aldehyde which can be found in bitter almonds. It is reactive towards addition reaction. a) Draw the structure of benzaldehyde. b) Explain why benzaldehyde is reactive towards addition reaction. c) Write down the chemical equation when benzaldehyde is treated with a mixture of KCN and HCl solution. d) Benzaldehyde and acetophenone are both carbonyl compounds.
