The twins Alice and Bob, when they are 25 years old are on two distant planets, 3 light years away from Earth. All these planets are on a line with coordinates x=-3 years for Alice, x = 3 years for Bob, and x=0 for Carl, their father. These coordinates are in Carl's frame of reference, assumed to be inertial. Both Alice and Bob decided to return to Earth at the same time, t=0, all three have synchronized clocks at the time Alice and Bob leave the planets. Alice travel with a velocity B= 4s while Bob travels with the velocity B==%s and both remain on Earth for the rest of their lives. 1) Draw a space-time diagram with the worldlines for Alice, Bob, and Carl. 2) What is Alice's age when she meets her father Carl? 3) What is Bob's age when he meets his father Carl? 4) How old are Alice and Bob when they finally meet on Earth? 5) Assuming that Carl was 50 years old when both Alice and Bob started their journey towards Earth, how old is Carl when finally all three of them are together again? 6) What is the combined distance traveled by Alice and Bob according to their corresponding ship-logs?
