Consider a small sewage treatment plant (STP) which is to be set
up for a residential development in an R1 zone. The design
population is 800 people. The development includes a small shopping
mall with restaurants with a collective kitchen area of 150 m2, and
a primary school for the surrounding community that has a targeted
student and staff population of 450 people.
Sketch the STP and determine the rough capacities of the necessary
equipment/tanks for the STP. Assume the discharge of the effluent
will be at the coastal waters of Tolo Harbour Water Control
Zone.
