Figure (1) shows the framing plan of the repeated floor of a library reading rooms. The floor slab is 5-inch thick reinforced concrete (normal weight RC stone) supported on the shown steel W beams. The floor supports -inch Linoleum tiles, wood studs with V-inch gypsum board each side, and mechanical duct. It is required to use the LRFD approach and check the adequacy of the steel W-shape used for the indicated girder. (Assume the maximum deflection is in middle of the indicated girder.
