The braces are to be connected to the columns with 16d common nails. Lateral seismic force to roof diaphragm is WEL = 66 plf. Heights h1=12 ft, h2= 4ft. Use LRFD procedure and use the appropriate LRFD load factor for seismic forces. Determine: 1. The required number of nails for the brace connection, assume dry conditions; 2.
