Working with Vector proximity, Overlay, Clipping, Query and
Attribute Data Analysis. The dataset provided: Question 4 data
(surrounding the town of Chinchilla, Queensland, Australia).
Perform appropriate GIS analyses to answer the questions below.
Task: Do the appropriate GIS vector data analysis and paste
screen‐captured images for 3 analyses listed below. Each image must
clearly visualize the selected number of water and gas bores within
the circular buffer. a. How many water bores are within 20 km of
the Chinchilla built-up area? (20 marks) b. How many gas bores are
within 20 km of the Chinchilla built-up area? (20 marks) c. How
many gas bores are within 300 m of a major or minor stream within
20 km of Chinchilla built-up area? (30 marks) Notes: • Answer each
part of the question separately. Zero marks for not doing so. •
Make sure that the target bores remain identifiable in the buffered
image. • If you try to answer the question manually (i.e., by using
the measuring tool and/or counting the bores), you will most
probably get the wrong answer, and in any event, you will receive a
lower mark for not using the correct GIS procedure. • There will be
no part marks for the incorrect answers for Questions 4.a, 4.b, and
4.c. • Add a Result table under Question 4 answer and include your
answers for the number of bores under three categories. Please use
the format of the table given below
