(2). At 20 °C, water (viscosity u= 1.15 x 10-² N-s/m², density p=1,000 kg/m?) flows at a rate of 7.2 m®/hr from an upper reservoir (through a sharp entrance) to a lower one through a cast-iron pipe (surface roughness E=0.26 mm) of length 20 meters. The pipe contains 6 threaded elbows (K1 = 1.5 for each elbow). The pipe discharges below the = water surface in the lower reservoir, and the elevation difference between the free surfaces is 2m. Determine the required pipe diameter. [Ans. 45mm or standard size: 50mm]
