The mean weight of boxes filled with a certain cereal is stated
to be 12 ounces with a standard deviation equal to 0.27 ounces. A
sample of 36 randomly selected boxes produced a mean weight of
12.10 ounces. At the 1% level of significance, does the sample
result indicate that it is significantly different from the
hypothetical 12 ounces?
