a.) Please set up level notes similar to the lecture for the
following data. Equivalent notes are not found in the text.
There are no intermediate foresights in this dataset; just setups
from a known BM out to the site and back. (6 points)
Find the misclosure and balance it out of the results. You
may use a spreadsheet.
BM "Lake" Elevation = 145.55 ft. TBM "Site" is after setup
4, before setup 5.

b.) Calculate the elevation of a TBM by trig levels given the
following data:
A total station is set up over BM “Lake” (see Problem 1) and has
a height measured up with a pocket tape of +5.25 feet
The slope distance directly to the new TBM on top of a nearby
hill is 624.75 feet at a zenith angle of 84.2507° (decimal
degrees)
The reflector sits on top of a rod at 6.56 feet on the new
TBM. (3 Points)
c.) Give the approximate zenith angle that would be read from
the TBM looking back down at “Lake” using the same techniques. (1
point)
