Fick s law of diffusion states that the Rate of diffusion (J) is proportional to a number of variables as indicated in the equation below. J= DA(CA-CB) AX J= the rate of diffusion, D = the diffusion coefficient of a given molecule, (CA - CB) = the concentration gradient, and delta X = the diffusion distance.
