IET 3322 - Module Assignment Ten
Personal, Fatigue, and Delay
Use this Word document to complete this assignment. Following isa summary of the time study data that was collected during aneight-hour time study on one manufacturing operation on oneemployee. The entire study took nine-hours because there was aone-hour lunch period in the middle of the day.You must analyze all the following data, and compute the Total Standard Time todo the job which includes a P, F, and D percentage that you developbased on the following data. You must make the decision on which activities to omit, and whichactivities to include in each of the following three areas:1. Personal Time,2. Fatigue Time, and3. Delay Time.I will not tell you which activities toomit or which activities to put into each category. You must makethose decisions yourself. You must develop your mathematicalanswers to the above values using the same format and proceduredemonstrated in the lecture posted on the D2L Learning Module pagefor this topic. You must show how you arrived at allyour answers using the same type of tables illustrated in theexamples on the D2L page. All the activities in the following examplemust be shown somewhere in your analysis for the individual P, F,and D factors (as either included or omitted).Compute your ratios using an eight-hour workday (480 minutes).
The company has a one-hour lunch period, but the company doesnot pay their employees to eat lunch.Do not include the lunch hour in yourratio calculations. The company permits a 15-minute break in the morning and a15-minute break in the afternoon. The company does pay theiremployees to take their breaks.
The employee was ratedat 80% productivity for the entire8-hour workday. The following timesare not factored by this productivityrating. The following times are the actual stopwatch times to dothe job. The actual time is shown along with the exact number ofparts completed during each time period.
