Procedure Part 1: Trajectory Path with Air Resistance 1. You do not need to write up a full lab report for this lab. 2. Go to link: https://phet.colorado.edu/en/simulation ... ile-motion 3. Select "Intro" on the simulation home screen. 4. Move the cannon to a height of 0 m by clicking the gray platform and dragging it downwards until the reading to the left of the cannon says 0 m. Note: The platform of the cannon must be dragged below the ground to reach a height of 0 m. The black "4" sign indicates the starting position of the projectile. 5. Set the cannon bore to an angle of 45° by clicking and moving the right (yellow) end of the cannon. 6. Set the initial speed of the projectile to 15 m/s in the menu box in the bottom left-hand corner by dragging the bar or clicking on the left and right arrows on the sides of the bar. 7. In the top right-hand corner, ensure "pumpkin" is selected. If it is not, use the dropdown arrow to select it.

Fire the cannon using the red Fire button. 11. Take a screen shot of the two trajectories, then label the trajectories "Air Resistance" and "No Air Resistance." Print the photo and paste into your lab notebook 12. Create a data table in your notebook similar to the following: Data Table 1: Comparing Properties of Projectiles in the Presence and Absence of Air Resistance Property Description of Trajectory Acclaration Vectors T Ⓒ Refresh
