Question 3 (20%) The work table of the linear actuator in Q1 is used for transporting a part in a material handling system. APLC program based on that developed in Q1 is used for driving the actuator. Move the part to conveyor Fig. 1 Part being picked by a robot from work table of linear actuator The working sequence of the system is stated as follows: 1. After completion of the working sequence by the actuator, PLC sends an output signal "DONE" to the input port of the robot. 2. In response to the input signal from PLC, the robot will pick up the part from the work table and place it on a static conveyor under robot program control. 3. When the part has already been placed on the conveyor, the robot will provide a signal "MOVE from its output port to the input port of the controller of the conveyor drive system in order to start up the conveyor motion. 4. If the conveyor is ready to receive the part, conveyor will send a output signal "OK" to the input port of the robot 5. If the robot is transporting, it will provide a "BUSY signal to the device from where it receives the robot motion request. 03. Refer to Table 1, 2, 3 for VO Assignment tables of PLC FP-Sigma, Robot and Conveyor Controller Design and draw a block diagram to show the input/output signal flow of the above material handling system The various signal flow names of connection lines among robot, conveyor controller and PLC of linear actuator and I/O terminals used for the system must be shown clearly on the block diagram.
