4. An emergency department in a private hospital has a displayed waiting time of 40 minutes. Staffs working there claim that the mean of waiting time for patients in this department is at least 50 minutes. A random sample of 36 patients waiting for consultation produced a mean waiting time of 48 minutes. The population standard deviation is known to be 4 minutes. a) Examine the consistency of the sample information with the staffs' claim by using a = 0.025. b) Explain the Type I error in this situation. Produce the probability of creating this error. c) Discuss your conclusion of (a) if the probability of creating a Type I error is zero. d) Calculate the p-value for the test of part (a). State your decision if a = 0.025.
