Metals with body-centered cubic (bcc) structures, such as molybdenum, are not close packed. If they were to change to a cubic close-packed (ccp) structure (under pressure, for instance), their densities would be greater. What would the density of molybdenum be if its structure were cep rather than bec? Its actual density is 10.2 g 4 cm³.
